Quick update. Esperanza is a bit sluggish this morning due to her staunch refusal to participate in yesterday’s nap or much of last nights quiet hours. Maybe 2-3 hours sleep total. Doctors have said she is probably experiencing a little delerium because of  11 days of inconsistent sleep patterns and a mounting desire to leave…

Esperanza Means Hope

Yesterday was a LONG day. Surgery at 10 AM lasted over five hours. When she came out doctors kept her sedated with a breathing tube until after the MRI at 9 PM. This was to take about 90 minutes. Two things were confirmed as hoped for. First, her spinal fluid passage way had been opened…
