We got the final report from the doctors today and we are celebrating with rootbeer floats!! Esperanza’s tumor is benign and it is stage 1. This means it will not spread to other parts of her body, we do not need to do any chemo and the 20-30% of the brain tumor that was not removed will grow really slow! Praise God! Happy Dance happening at the Sanders!!
What’s next? For the next year Esperanza will get MRI’s every three months to watch how quickly the rest of the tumor is growing. They project that she will need surgery again in 10 years. Our prayer obviously is that the tumor completely disappears or does not grow any more so that she never has to have surgery again!!
Many have asked what’s next for us? Are we still going forward with our plans to leave for YWAM on April 9, 2015 (Details here)? As Bruce and I have been praying we are still feeling led to head this direction. The only reason at the moment that we would not is if the doctor bills are so much that we end up in debt and can’t afford to go any more. Therefore, we don’t have an answer yet and probably won’t for a few weeks.
Thank you for continuing to pray for complete healing over my daughter (physically and emotionally) as well as favor over our finances and the doctor bills! Thank you all.
